ob Purpose
To promote, distribute, and increase sales of OTC (Over-The-Counter) pharmaceutical and healthcare products by developing strong relationships with chemists, retailers, distributors, and other trade partners within the assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities
Achieve assigned sales targets and market share objectives for OTC products.
Visit chemists, retailers, pharmacies, and stockists as per beat plan.
Ensure product availability, visibility, and merchandising at retail outlets.
Implement company promotional schemes, displays, and consumer offers effectively.
Generate primary and secondary sales through distributors.
Appoint new retailers and expand the distribution network in the territory.
Collect market intelligence on competitors, pricing, schemes, and new launches.
Ensure timely collection of payments and control outstanding dues.
Maintain daily call reports, sales reports, and stock statements.
Coordinate with distributors for stock planning and order execution.
Participate in product training programs, sales meetings, and review meetings.
Handle customer queries, complaints, and ensure prompt resolution.
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Good knowledge of OTC products and retail pharma trade
Ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships
Target-driven with strong follow-up skills
Basic computer skills (MS Excel, reporting apps)
Field-oriented with good area knowledge
Educational Qualification
Graduate in any discipline (B.Sc / B.Com / B.Pharm preferred)
Diploma in Sales & Marketing will be an added advantage
Experience
1–4 years of experience in OTC / FMCG / Pharmaceutical sales
Freshers with strong communication skills may also be considered
