Job Title: Purchase Executive – Pharmaceuticals

About the Role:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Purchase Executive with a pharmaceutical
background, based in Delhi, to support the procurement function. The role focuses on vendor
management, purchase planning, and timely procurement of pharmaceutical raw materials,
APIs, and packaging materials, ensuring compliance with GMP, regulatory standards, and
company policies.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Procurement & Sourcing
• Assist in identifying, evaluating, and selecting suppliers for APIs, excipients, and
packaging materials.
• Prepare purchase orders and follow up with vendors to ensure timely delivery.
• Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and competitive pricing in the
pharma industry.
2. Vendor Coordination
• Maintain strong vendor relationships and assist in vendor evaluations.
• Track supplier performance and escalate any quality or delivery issues to the Purchase
Manager.
• Support vendor audits and ensure compliance with GMP standards.
3. Inventory & Purchase Planning
• Assist in planning purchases to maintain optimal inventory levels of pharmaceutical
materials.
• Coordinate with inventory, QA, and production teams to avoid stock-outs or overstocking.
• Monitor order status, delivery schedules, and logistics for timely procurement.
4. Compliance & Documentation
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with GMP, regulatory, and company policies.
• Maintain accurate purchase records, batch details, and documentation for audits.
• Support management in preparing purchase reports and analytics.
5. Cost Control & Reporting
• Identify opportunities for cost optimization while maintaining quality standards.
• Assist in preparing periodic procurement reports for management review.
• Contribute to process improvements within the procurement function.

Key Requirements:
• Qualification: B.Pharm / M.Pharm / B.Sc / Graduate in relevant field.
• Experience: 3–7 years in procurement or purchasing within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Knowledge of GMP, vendor management, and supply chain operations.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, regulated pharmaceutical environment.
