Job Details / Candidate Eligibility Criteria
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Formulation and Development Scientist to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for the formulation and development of pharmaceutical products, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
Key Responsibilities: -
1. Formulation Development: - Design, develop, and optimize pharmaceutical formulations, including tablets, capsules, injectables, and topical products.
2. Product Development: - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new products, line extensions, and reformulations.
3. Regulatory Compliance: - Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, such as cGMP, USP, and ICH guidelines.
4. Stability Studies: - Design and execute stability studies to ensure product shelf-life and quality.
5. Scale-Up and Tech Transfer: - Scale up formulations from lab to commercial scale and transfer technology to manufacturing sites.
6. Troubleshooting: - Investigate and resolve formulation and manufacturing issues.
7. Documentation: - Maintain accurate and detailed records of formulation development, stability studies, and technical transfers.
8. Collaboration: - Work closely with other departments, such as Analytical Development, Manufacturing, and Quality Assurance.
Requirements: -
1. Education: - Post Graduate in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, or related field.
2. Experience: - 10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical formulation and development.
3. Skills: -
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical formulation principles and practices.
- Experience with formulation development, stability studies, and scale-up.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements, such as cGMP and ICH guidelines.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
4. Certifications: - Certification in pharmaceutical sciences or a related field is a plus.
Nice to Have: -
1. Experience with: - Formulation development software, such as Formulation Studio or similar tools

2. Knowledge of: - Emerging trends and technologies in pharmaceutical formulation and development.
