Role Overview - Cancer Care Specialist – Oncology (New Launches) will be responsible for driving sales of newly launched oncology products within assigned territories. This role involves identifying business opportunities, building strong relationships with healthcare professionals, managing tender business, and ensuring timely rate quotations. The individual will play a key role in achieving sales targets and ensuring successful market penetration for Glenmark's oncology portfolio.
Job Requirement -
• Education: Graduate in Life Sciences/Pharmacy
• Work Experience: 5-7 years of sales experience in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in oncology or specialty care products.
• Required pre-requisites skills/experience for this position: Strong communication and negotiation skills / Ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships/ Proficiency in analyzing market trends and sales data/ Flexibility to travel extensively within the assigned territory
Roles & Responsibilities 1. Sales and Business Development:
• CCS will be responsible for the promotion of the new product. CCS will be executing the Product Management Team’s marketing strategy, analyzing market trends, consulting with doctors on new product potential, and relaying feedback to the Product Management Team. Additionally, responsibilities include identifying key opinion leaders, monitoring product availability, and implementing brand strategies to facilitate a successful product launch.
• Achieve sales targets for newly launched oncology products within assigned regions.
• Identify and capitalize on business opportunities in hospitals, cancer centers, and specialty clinics.
2. Tender Business Management:
• Handle tender submissions, ensuring compliance with institutional requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams to prepare and submit competitive rate quotations for government and private tenders.
• Monitor tender progress, address queries, and follow up on approvals to secure business
3. Healthcare Professional Engagement:
• Build and nurture strong relationships with oncologists, pharmacists, and procurement teams.
• Conduct product detailing sessions to educate healthcare professionals about the features and benefits of Glenmark's oncology offerings
4. Territory Management:
• Drive Competitive Sales Growth -Identify and prioritize high-potential customers through data analysis (HCPs and stakeholders) who influence prescription decisions -Drive sales performance through the skillful orchestration of positive customer experiences. Engage and Build Relationships.
• Develop and execute territory-specific action plans to drive product penetration.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to recommend strategies for growth.
• Establish effective working relationships with opinion leaders and top medical influencers (at territory level) and challenge current behaviors in order to improve the patient journey (right patient, right time)
• You will be responsible for monitoring primary and secondary sales through regular visits to stockiest and pharmacies, ensuring the accomplishment of doctor and product-specific sales objectives. Active participation in monthly review meetings to assess coverage, adherence to SOPs, and expense management, all aimed at achieving area-level, product-level, and overall sales targets
5. Coordination with Internal Teams:
• Work closely with marketing, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure timely product availability and accurate rate quotations.
• Provide regular feedback to the marketing team on field challenges, customer needs, and competitor insights
6. Compliance and Reporting:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales records, customer interactions, and expense reports.
• Ensure adherence to Glenmark's compliance policies and regulatory requirements during all sales activities.
7. Promotional Activities:
• Participate in and support CMEs, conferences, and oncology-focused events to promote new product launches.
• Ensure effective implementation of marketing campaigns within the assigned territory
