The Role
We are looking for a dynamic, strategic, and experienced Head of Marketing to lead our sutures division across India. This is a senior leadership role responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive national marketing strategy. The successful candidate will lead a team of 100+ marketing representatives across different regions, ensuring the achievement of business goals, market dominance, and brand leadership.

Key Responsibilities
• Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a national marketing and brand strategy for the surgical sutures product portfolio, aligning it with overall business objectives and market trends.
• Team Management & Development: Lead, mentor, and motivate a large, high-performing team of over 100 marketing representatives across all of India. Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Sales & Market Growth: Drive the execution of marketing and sales plans to achieve and exceed sales targets and market share goals.
• Market Intelligence: Conduct in-depth market analysis, competitive research, and customer needs assessments to identify new opportunities and challenges.
• Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire product lifecycle from new product launches to portfolio optimization.
• Promotional & Brand Activities: Plan and execute impactful marketing campaigns, product launches, medical conferences, and digital marketing initiatives to enhance brand visibility and engagement with healthcare professionals.
• Budgeting & ROI Analysis: Manage the national marketing budget effectively, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and a high return on investment (ROI) for all marketing activities.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Clinical Affairs, Regulatory, R&D, and Supply Chain, to ensure a cohesive and effective go-to-market strategy.
• Compliance & Ethics: Uphold the highest standards of ethical conduct and ensure all marketing materials and activities are in full compliance with medical device regulations in India.

Qualifications & Experience
• A Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in pharmaceutical or medical device marketing, with a significant portion of that time spent in a leadership role.
• Demonstrated experience in managing large, nationwide teams (ideally 50+ representatives).
• In-depth knowledge of the Indian medical devices market, particularly in the surgical and hospital segments.
• Proven track record of successfully launching and managing medical products.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
• Willingness to travel extensively across India.
